The Million Dollar Quartet is a legendary album that features four of the biggest names in rock and roll history: Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, and Jerry Lee Lewis. This album captures an impromptu jam session that took place on December 4, 1956, at Sun Studio in Memphis, Tennessee. The album is a must-have for any music lover, particularly those interested in the early days of rock and roll.
The album features a mix of classic rock and roll tracks, including "Blue Suede Shoes," "That's All Right," and "Great Balls of Fire." The performances are raw and energetic, with each artist showcasing their unique style and talent. The chemistry between the four musicians is palpable, and it's clear that they were having a lot of fun during this recording session.
The production quality of the album is excellent, considering it was recorded over 60 years ago. The sound is clear and crisp, and the instruments and vocals are well-balanced. The album also features some interesting banter between the artists, which adds to the overall charm of the recording.

By coincidence Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis happened to be together in the studio at Sun Records, Memphis, Tennessee on December 4th, 1956. It was rare to have all of them in the studio at the same time, so producer Sam Phillips decided to record the event. Nobody else knew that the tapes were rolling. This CD gives a privileged insight to what took place on that special afternoon.
